About Us
Safe Havens Care started with a simple observation: most falls and injuries at home are preventable, but the products that prevent them are scattered, confusing, and often feel clinical. We set out to change that.
Who we actually are
We're a small, family-run shop in Garfield, Arkansas — not a marketplace and not a warehouse. One family that got tired of watching people shop for their parents' safety the same way they'd shop for phone chargers: scrolling a wall of near-identical listings, no idea which grab bar actually holds 220 pounds, no idea which shower chair fits a tub, and nobody to ask.
So we built the shop we wanted to buy from: a short catalogue where every item was chosen on purpose, the specifications are stated plainly, and a real person answers.
How we choose what to sell
We don't manufacture equipment — we select it. Every product in this store had to clear three tests before we listed it:
- It solves a documented risk, not a vague worry. Grip, traction, lighting and safe transfers are the home modifications with real evidence behind them. We stock the things that move that number.
- The specification is real and stated. Weight capacity, height range, footprint, and what tools you need. If we can't state it plainly, we don't list it.
- It works for the person who has to install it. Usually an adult child, on a weekend, with a drill and limited time. If a product needs a contractor, we say so on the page.
Why we group products into rooms and kits
Falls don't happen to a product category — they happen in a room. A bathroom with a grab bar but no traction is still a dangerous bathroom. Our kits exist so one purchase fixes one room completely, instead of the slow drip of buying one fix at a time after each near-miss.
Our customers are adult children setting up a parent's home, people recovering from surgery, and anyone planning ahead for the years they intend to spend in the house they love.
How to reach an actual person
If you're not sure what fits your parent's bathroom, your own knees, or your budget, write to us before you order. We would much rather answer a question than process a return.

What we are not
We're not a medical provider. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and when an answer depends on someone's specific condition we'll tell you to check with a physical or occupational therapist. We also don't bill Medicare or insurance — though many of our products are eligible for reimbursement through an HSA or FSA, so it's worth asking your plan administrator.
If something goes wrong
Return anything unused within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or simply isn't what you ordered, send us a photo within 7 days and we'll replace it or refund you in full — and you won't pay return shipping. That's not fine print; it's the whole policy.
