Fitting it to your staircase
You can install it yourself with a drill and a stud finder. Anchoring into studs — or into masonry with the proper anchors — is the critical step.
The supplier gives standard rail height as 34–38 inches above the tread nose. If the staircase already has a rail on the other side, match that height so the two line up.
Indoors and outdoors
The aluminium is rust-resistant, and the supplier states the finish handles entry steps and porches as well as interior staircases.
The rail arrives in black and mounts flat to the wall, so it can run along a stairway, a porch edge or an entryway.
