Built for the corner of a shower
The fan shape is the point of it: two straight edges meet the walls, so the stool takes the corner rather than the middle of the floor. The supplier also lists it for bathrooms, outdoors, bedrooms and living rooms.
The second tier underneath adds storage for towels and shower gel, and the same design works as a footrest for foot care while seated.
Drainage and floor contact
The drainage holes in the seat board are set out radially so water runs away and air gets through, which keeps the board from holding standing water and helps it dry.
At the bottom, the rubber foot pads adjust to take up an uneven floor, grip the surface and sit against tile without scratching it. The screws through them are stainless steel.
