Fitting it to the wall
Fitting is a drill-and-bolt job. A mounting hole guiding sticker comes with the seat, so the hole positions are marked out for you rather than pencilled by hand, and 304 stainless steel screws and accessories are in the box.
One condition from the supplier matters more than the rest: fit it to a load-bearing solid wall. The rating only means anything if what is behind the plate can hold it, so if you are unsure about the wall, ask a fitter before you drill.
Folding it out of the way
The seat folds flat to the wall between uses, which leaves the shower floor clear for anyone else in the household. The supplier describes the fold and unfold as smooth and quiet.
In use, two legs come down to the floor on non-slip foot pads, so the load is carried by the wall plate and the legs together.
